Undiscovered Worlds now downloadable

After much additional tinkering, I've posted the latest version of Undiscovered Worlds for anyone to try out. Full details are on the first post of the blog. Many thanks to Frank Gennari for his help with bashing this into something approaching presentable shape!

There are still various bugs, so approach with caution, but I hope people find it interesting to play with!

  1. im trying to import this topographic map i have, and recolored it so it fit within what i thought to be the necessary colors for the topography to track. the issue comes with the mountains. i genuinely have no clue how to add them in. i made a map with only the higher areas red but the lower ones black, i made a adjusted version of the original, etc etc, and all of them just ended up crashing the program. can i contact you anywhere so you could help me with this, if you would?

    1. That sounds a pain! Have you looked at the example import files - https://github.com/JonathanCRH/Undiscovered_Worlds/blob/main/Example%20import%20files.zip ? They should show the format you need. The mountains image only needs to be thin lines showing where the central ridges of mountain ranges go. If it's still causing problems let me know here and we can try to sort it out!

  2. Congrats on the release! This has been a long and fascinating journey. It seems to work on Linux with Wine, but I'll see if I can get it to build natively!

    1. Even working with Wine is pretty good! We've been having problems getting it to build natively on Linux so if you can manage it that would be great...
